5 books of the week
Wow! It has been a crazy week. I don’t have a ton of time, but I can’t let you miss out on these five awesome books of the week, so without further ado, here they are.
The first one is called Last Word. The main character is named Hope, and in the beginning of the book Hope is very different from how she is at the end of the book, which is one of my favorite things about this book. It’s about how Hope learns that even the people she most despises have struggles and have people they love, and that forgiveness is healing for everyone involved.
The next one is called The Secret Life of Amanda K. Woods, and it has three main things going for it: 1, the twists and turns are unexpected, 2, Amanda is relatable for almost everyone, and 3, the end is amazing. It makes me want to write a sequel myself, because I can’t help imagining what happens afterward.
The next one is called Stanford Wong Flunks Big Time, and it’s mostly just funny and relatable. I love Emily, but I love Millicent more. I think the main message of the book is about realizing who your real friends are.
The next one is called Front Desk, and this one is awesome. It has some kind of award for Asian literature, I think, and I love it because when you read it you just know that it’s written from experience and someone poured their heart into that book, and that really shines through when you read it.
Okay, last but not least, this book is called Ferals, and it is great because it has an entirely new storyline that I haven’t read in a book before. It’s very interesting, and it makes an entirely new world that should be explored.
I hope you read at least one of these books, and if you can’t decide which one, my two tops are Last Word and Front Desk. Happy reading!
