3 American Revolution books

Ah, the American Revolution! These three books will give you an up close and personal look at what it was like to live back in those auspicious times. All of these books are historic fiction except Ladies Of Liberty, which is nonfiction.

Fever 1793 is about a girl named Matilda who lives in the time of the yellow fever. It’s a good book. It’s a little sad and a little funny.

Johnny Tremain is sort of popular, so you might have heard of it before. It’s about a boy who… well, it’s a long story and you’ll just have to read the book to find out. But I will tell you that it involves a burned hand, a lazy boy named Dove, and a Paul-Revere-like ride across the town.

Ladies Of Liberty is, like I mentioned, nonfiction, and it’s basically about the important wives and daughters of founding fathers. I’m not gonna lie, it’s not the easiest book to get through at times, but it’s very interesting.

If you ever need to learn about the American Revolution for any reason, it’s a lot easier and more fun to read books like this than a textbook that just tell dates and names without imagination.

P.S. My favorite lady of liberty is Theodosia Burr.
